December 2014: Holiday Challenge

It is that time of year when we eat, drink, and be merry, right? In reviewing the goals that many of you told your student trainers, a lot of them involve weight loss. However, what you eat is also important for maintaining muscle mass and bone density (to prevent sarcopenia and osteopenia). I am challenging you to record everything you eat and drink for at least 3 consecutive days (between Dec. 20 and Jan. 4). A winner will be randomly drawn and will receive $25 off their spring HOPE membership. Due: January 9, 2015.
6 x 10 Challenge
We are challenging you to accumulate 10 minutes of exercise on each of the 6 different types of cardio equipment (elliptical, bike, treadmill, track, rower, stair climber). A $25 gift card will be awarded! Due: October 10, 2014.
